Education is getting stuck in multiple places. Teachers feel the pressure, parents see their children struggling, and researchers identify structural bottlenecks. At the same time, a broad movement is growing that seeks alternative ways of learning and structuring.
Casa College emerges from this shared need. We are building a school and a community that dares to redesign education: based on scientific insights, the Montessori vision, professional experience, and social responsibility.
The Casa College Community is an active network of people who contribute, share ideas, and move along with us. Together, we explore how education can become future-proof. For children, for professionals, and for society as a whole.
We see ourselves as part of a larger movement that wants to rethink and reshape education. Not just for the children, but also for the people who support and build it.
We invite everyone who feels: it can, and must, be different.
People who get energy from organizing, activating and raising visibility. Parents, professionals and stakeholders who want to contribute to the realization of Casa College.
The campaign team translates content into action. To establish the school we need parent declarations. We explore together how to best do this.
Eveline Wintraecken will lead this group.
We work goal-oriented, ensure good preparation and clear roles. Not ad hoc, but with a shared plan and joint momentum.
People who want to stay involved, without a fixed role or long-term commitment. Parents, professionals, researchers, companies and other interested parties.
This community steps in when it is relevant. Through thematic information evenings - such as connecting the school with local companies and social organizations -, updates and targeted requests, we collect knowledge, questions and connection when necessary.
Via a mailing list and periodic information or (digital) theme evenings.
Education professionals who feel the current system is under strain and who recognize themselves in the vision of Casa College. Teachers, mentors, school leaders, and designers who want to use their expertise to help shape education that is both thoughtfully designed in content and practically implementable.
We are looking for people who dare to ask sharp questions, challenge assumptions, and help build a strong foundation.
The development team serves as a content sounding board.
During the sessions, we jointly explore the major design questions of Casa College. We diverge: exploring possibilities and thinking through the implications from pedagogical, organizational, legal, and financial perspectives.
We will work in a fixed group around current design questions. The format and pace evolve along the way.
During the meetings, we explore and critically examine the design questions together. Between sessions, we will translate the outcomes into coherent frameworks and documents. These are then presented to the group again so they can be refined. Where necessary, we draw on specific expertise from the development team.
In this manner, an iterative process emerges: thinking, structuring, and sharpening — always grounded in practice.
We consciously choose an organic process: first explore and investigate together from a shared vision, then structure and formalize what proves to be sound. At Casa College, we want adolescents to learn to think, design, and take responsibility for their choices. That requires both space and clear frameworks — a balance we aim to find in this trajectory as well.
Scientists, researchers and theoretical thinkers from educational sciences, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, philosophy and systems thinking, among others, who recognize themselves in this vision and would like to build on it.
The Think Tank forms the reflective and investigative foundation of Casa College. Here we build on existing research and new insights, with one central question:
How do you design a curriculum and a school that does justice to what we now know about learning, development and society?
Through thematic (digital) sessions and joint explorations, as a group we determine how this think tank will take shape, taking into account everyone's expertise and calendar.
